LSO’s season finale features LSO concertmaster Anton Miller in Yevhen Stankovych’s Ukranian Poem for solo violin and orchestra, and Manuel Ponce’s Violin Concerto, with Mexican dance elements integrated in the first movement’s framework and evident in the finale. LSO closes its season with Brahms’s poignant and luminous Symphony No. 2, Op. 73 in D major.
