Please join Music Director Edward Polochick and Executive Director Barbara Zach for Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra’s 2016-2017 season announcement, held in the Lied Commons just before the season finale. Hear about next year’s programs and artists, the addition of a special classical concert to our season, and the kick-off to LSO’s new Encore Club. We will finish in time for patrons to attend the pre-concert chat, if desired, or to mingle before the evening’s concert.

The New York Times refers to grammy-nominated Avi Avital as a “superstar” of the mandolin. Avi will join LSO to perform selections from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, along with music written especially for him by Avner Dorman. The season finale closes with a grandiose performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (Eroica).

A Special Friday Live at the NET Studios | Friday, April 29 at 9:00AM 

You’re invited to the NET studio on Friday, April 29 for a special broadcast of Friday Live featuring Avi Avital to preview his performance with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra on April 30. Also performing on Friday Live, Maestro Edward Polochick who will join Nebraska Chamber Players in a special concert event on May 1 at the NET studio.
