Timothy Dickmeyer

Tim has been the Bass Trombonist with Lincoln’s Symphony since 2000. An Omaha native, Tim attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he graduated with a bachelor degree in Music Education and studied trombone and euphonium with Scott Anderson and Vernon Forbes. Tim is currently the Executive Director of the Arts Center at Iowa Western in Council Bluffs, IA. He has worked in the arts management field for several years, with such organizations as Omaha Performing Arts, Omaha Symphony, Arts Incorporated, Thompson Music, and the University of Nebraska.

Tim is an active freelance musician and has been a member of the Omaha Brass Ensemble, Plymouth Brass, Lincoln Municipal Band, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, Omaha Big Band, and Nebraska Symphony Chamber Orchestra. He has played as a substitute musician with numerous groups, including the Omaha Symphony, the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band and Noteables Jazz Band, the Palladium Brass Quintet, and Nebraska Brass.

Tim lives with his wife and two sons in Treynor, IA and enjoys cooking, motorcycling, and Husker football.
