Tim Dickmeyer is a freelance musician in the Omaha and Lincoln music communities. An Omaha native, Tim attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he graduated with a bachelor degree in Music Education. Tim currently works as Event Coordinator for Omaha Performing Arts, and has worked in the arts management field for several years, with such organizations as the Omaha Symphony, Arts Incorporated, Thompson Music, and the University of Nebraska.
Tim has been the Bass Trombonist with Lincoln’s Symphony since 2000. He plays bass trombone for the Omaha Jazz Orchestra and the Omaha Big Band. Tim has also been a member of the Plymouth Brass, Lincoln Municipal Band, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, and Nebraska Symphony Chamber Orchestra. He has played as a substitute musician with numerous groups, including the Omaha Symphony, the Hastings Symphony, the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band and Noteables Jazz Band, the Palladium Brass Quintet, and the Nebraska Brass. Tim is on the board of directors for the Capitol Jazz Society and is a member of Local 70-558, American Federation of Musicians.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys flying as a private pilot, mountain biking, and cooking.
