Anne Sorensen-Wang

Violinist Anne Sorensen-Wang is Director of Performing Arts at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and her Master of Music Performance in Violin from Arizona State University where she was the teaching assistant for the violin studio of Dr. Jonathan Swartz.

Anne performs with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra.  She previously served as the concertmaster for the Scottsdale Arts Orchestra and has performed with Arizona Opera, the Omaha Symphony, and MusicaNova, an orchestra based in Phoenix, Arizona, dedicated to performing new and unknown music.

Anne taught 4th through 12th grade orchestra in both the Millard Public Schools in Omaha, Nebraska, and the Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, Arizona, and continues to teach private violin lessons.
